Hey, I'm Chey! Your doula, your support system, your village
I’m a full-spectrum doula and photographer based in Baltimore, supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond.
My work is rooted in trust, presence, and making sure you never feel like you have to navigate this alone. Whether you need hands-on support, reassurance, or someone to simply hold space for you, I’m here.
I’m a Certified Labor Doula with MaternityWise and a certified full-spectrum doula through DTI, with experience supporting families across a wide range of journeys.
But who is Cheylah?
This work is personal for me.
I’ve always had a heart for helping others, but this work became something deeper through my own experiences as a mother.
As a mom of four boys, three of whom required time in the NICU, I understand firsthand how overwhelming, emotional, and unpredictable this season can be. I’ve navigated life with medically complex children, including oxygen support, feeding challenges, and developmental needs. That lived experience allows me to support families with a deeper level of empathy, awareness, and real-life understanding. Not just knowledge, but true compassion.
How I support you
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to care. My role is to meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, without pressure, and with support that feels safe, informed, and truly yours. Whether you’re preparing for birth, adjusting to postpartum, navigating feeding, or just trying to find your footing, I’m here to support you in making confident decisions and feeling grounded in your experience. Because you deserve to feel seen, heard, and fully supported every step of the way.
My work in the community
I’m actively involved in the birth community through organizations like THD Collective, MaternityWise, CAB: NEST Program,
and the Baltimore Doula Project, where I support families, mentor doulas, hold position on boards, and continue growing in my practice. This work is bigger than me. It’s about building a village, creating access to support, and showing up for families in meaningful ways.
Looking ahead
My long-term goal is to expand my work into midwifery and continue creating spaces where families feel supported, cared for, and never alone. Everything I do is rooted in that vision, because support shouldn’t stop at one moment, it should carry you through your entire journey.
